We start the ascent of 8 kilometers with an average between 4.5% and 7% incline. From the port you can observe, to the south, the Madrid plain, and beautiful views of the mountains. From the top we have about 13 kilometers of descent with an average slope between 4-6% to reach Rascafría, where we can have a look to the Monasterty of Paular.
From here, the next section crosses the valley of the river Lozoya passing through the municipalities of Lozoya, and Pinilla del Valle towards the Port of Canencia. It is one of the lowest mountain passes in the Sierra de Guadarrama and, at the same time, less traveled, given its regional character. Its surroundings are populated with pine forests. To finish the route, head back to Soto del Real, where the stage began.
